In 2019 Reuters published the testimony of Lauri Straud [1] , after leaving the NSA in 2014 she worked as a hacker for the UAE as part of Operation Raven. The aim of the game was to hack into the computer systems and communications of the Emirate’s enemies. The targets were numerous, but Qatar was high on the list.

Lauri Straud defected the day his employer asked her to spy on American targets. As Reuters recounts in her testimony, Lauri was first told to work on the “Purple briefing”.

At this stage Raven would pursue a purely defensive mission, protecting the government of the UAE from hackers and other threats.

Soon after she received the “Black briefing”, Raven becomes “the offensive, operational division of NESA [2] and will never be acknowledged to the general public,” the Black memo says.

The first leaks began to worry the Trump administration and in 2017 Rudolph Guliani held a “cyber security” meeting with Qatar in 2017 and early 2018 [3]. June 22, 2019 at the Trump International Hotel, Rudolph Guliani will play a strange intermediary role with Emirati princess Hend Al Qassemi, who is trying to divorce her Qatari husband [4].

A former SEAL, Scott Taylor, who has long worked in Yemen on behalf of Hunt Oil and the US services, is proposed as ambassador to Qatar by Trump, only for the latter to make a surprise withdrawal. Scott Taylor is reputed to have been fully aware of the cyber operation leaks, but in the end his political career came to a swift end.

Today, Scott Taylor is President of the US business Qatar Council.

On sept 14th 2021 three former NSA employees are condemned for conducting hacking related service for account of the UAE [5]. Earlier in January of the same year, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the UAE and Bahrain put an end to their diplomatic dispute with Qatar.

Some groups who thought themselves allies of Qatar see this change as a betrayal. The secrecy that was supposed to surround the Raven files begins to crumble.

A source informs French journalist Bernard Nicolas of the existence of a leakage Qatari corruption file. Marc Eichinger, a former French intelligence contractor and specialist in international corruption cases, is asked to authenticate and facilitate understanding of these documents in March 2021. They will get 32 pages, concerning numerous people and meetings.

What followed was a lengthy process of cross-checking the numerous documents, which concerned many people, some of them unknown to the public. Some of the documents do not concern payments from Qatar to third parties, but rather minutes of meetings whose context can be traced. The documents are signed, and the signatures pose no particular problem: they are legitimate and never similar [6]. Some of these letters include a 2D barcode for diplomatic identification.

Four letters concerned Israel, and Marc Eichinger gave all the documents he had obtained, together with a copy of his passport, to the Israeli embassy in Switzerland. In June 2021, Naftali Bennett announced an end to the flow of cash from Qatar to the Gaza Strip.

On September 26, 2021, Marc Eichinger also contacted Shurat Hadin in a very explicit email to warn this organization, which defends Israeli legal interests abroad, of the imminent publication of documents relating to Israeli corruption.

The full set of documents is also provided to the doyen of financial investigating judges and to the French anti-corruption police.

The documents are published in full on the Blast-info.fr website, and some in English on iKurd.net.

Some of these documents relating to the Libyan and Syrian conflicts are included in the book Jeux de guerre published by Marc Eichinger in 2022 (Massot Editions). They are placed in context.

None of the beneficiaries of the Qatari funds filed a lawsuit, with the exception of Bernard Henry Levy, who lost his case and was ordered to compensate the defendants.

The publication of the documents allows other entities to settle accounts quickly.

On June 24th 2022, Prince Charles made very awkward comments during the opening ceremony of a summit of Commonwealth prime ministers and presidents in Rwanda [7] .

“The Prince of Wales has told Commonwealth leaders that keeping the Queen as head of state or becoming a republic is “a matter for each member country to decide”. A serious blow for the Queen and the British foreign office.

Revenge was not long in coming, as the Sunday Times, echoed by many major British newspapers, reported cash payments made by Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani to Prince Charles from 2011 to 2015. The Raven documents are not published, but the Prince admits to the payments without any official counterpart.

On the strength of the information they have, the American judges will also be able to indict 41 people and pay out $201 million to FIFA in connection with the corruption linked to the awarding of the World Cup.

Qatar’s corruption hit the headlines when Belgian judge Michel Claise arrested several members of the European Parliament, including Eva Kaili. According to the official press release from the Federal Public Prosecutor’s Office, Michel Claise has decided to withdraw from the case “despite the absence of any real evidence to cast doubt on the probity of any of the parties involved, and the substantial work he and his investigators have accomplished in this case”.

The Raven documents are not linked to the arrests in Belgium, but history shows that when it comes to corruption with the Qatari regime, the pressures can be particularly strong.

Marc Eichinger claims that his source mentioned that, as in France, Qatar had carried out a large-scale undercover operation in Israel, hence the need to obtain full publication of the Raven files. Why was this?

In an article published in February 2019, Times of Israel [8] sum up the roots of the tragedy that the country will encounter on October 7th 2023.

“In 2018 Qatar gave Gaza $200 million for humanitarian aid, fuel, and wages for Hamas clerks. In addition, it gave UNRWA, the UN agency that deals with Palestinian refugees and their descendants, $50 million, all with Israel’s approval. “

Israel’s approval being essentially Benjamin Netanyahu willingness to do so.

“According to the report, the rate at which money is being funneled to Gaza has been increasing, prompting Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit to hold a special review of the situation during which state legal and defense authorities were required to confirm that the transfers did not constitute a violation of Israeli and international sanctions on Hamas due to its status as a terror group.”

Avichai Mandelblit is now retired, but every Israeli can pay tribute to him. He will go down in history as the man who clearly saw the danger on the basis of a report that has remained confidential.

This report must be published and all political parties should demand its publication.

In another case, on November21st 2019, Netanyahu was officially indicted for breach of trust, accepting bribes, and fraud. He is entitled to the presumption of innocence.

One year later he became Prime Minister.

Walid Jumblatt took $10 million from Qatar in 2018: a leaked document obtained by iKurd.net

Joumblatt adopted a moderate stance during the presidential elections, considering the possibility of accepting the Hezbollah-backed candidate Sleiman Frangié, head of the Marada movement.

In August 2022, the Druze leader received the political assistant to Hezbollah Secretary General Hussein Khalil, and the head of the party’s coordination committee Wafic Safa, in the presence of MP Waël Bou Faour and former minister Ghazi Aridi.

After the meeting, Mr. Joumblatt declared it “frank and friendly”, adding: “We spoke at length about the points that can be resolved jointly, on the economic and development fronts, and put aside the points of disagreement”. [1]

Jumblatt has an immense fortune, over 500 properties in Lebanon, as revealed by the Gherbal platform [2]. So he doesn’t need the money, but that didn’t stop him from taking USD 10 million from Qatar and betraying his country in the process. We have proof that this money was paid in 2018, but how long has he been a Qatari double agent? History will record that at this meeting with Hezbollah everyone was paid by Qatar.

The letter published above, which comes from the hacked files of Operation RAVEN [3], provides irrefutable proof of his compromise. This helps us to understand the meaning of the story.

Of course, the American justice system has done its duty by punishing the perpetrators of this hacking operation, but the documents concerning the decision-makers, elected representatives and military personnel of numerous countries have not been released in the same breath. [4]

The documents of shame remain secret for the most part, waiting for time to pass or for a beneficiary to make an unacceptable mistake. So when Prince Charles slipped up by explaining that Commonwealth countries could leave the British fold as they wished on June 22, 2022 [5], the British services quickly brought him to heel via the press, which published details of the 3 million euros in cash he received from Qatar just a few days later [6].

Queen Elizabeth was still alive, and her inheritance was not to be trifled with. Now king, Charles has learned his lesson.

That’s what the Raven files are for these days. It’s all blackmail and manipulation, but the aim of the game is also to protect those who have benefited from this corruption while occupying important positions in the intelligence services or in key administrations.

In all countries, including Israel, civil servants are paid by the people. The same people who are demonstrating with great courage against the Israeli extreme right and its belligerent intentions. In all countries, the documents of corruption belong to the taxpayers, to this generation which is ready to shed its blood for a better world.

Jumblatt, Sarkozy, Netanyahu and many others have received astronomical sums in return for their obedience to the Al Thani family.

Time has come to clean up every country and give back to the people what they are paying for Raven files do not belong to a few members of the intelligence community but to all those who suffer from corruption. Not to do so is to betray them a second time.

We don’t have the opportunity to laugh every day with the news, let’s take advantage of this good americano swiss joke.

The U.S. Department of Justice just sanctioned an Iranian oil smuggling ring. The crude was mixed with Indian oil at the Sharjah terminal before being sold on the international market with false certificates.

Within the official press release the US administration mentions:

Today, the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) designated members of an international oil smuggling network that facilitated oil trades and generated revenue for Hizballah and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps-Qods Force (IRGC-QF).

We are in a situation where the US has just guaranteed Hezbollah that Total and Qatar will be able to pay them future revenues from the exploitation of Block 9 off Lebanon. The two main signatories of this deal signed last week, Yair Lapid and General President Aoun are no longer in power. But in this case the financing of Hezbollah does not pose a problem for the American administration.

All this is starting to become amusing but the funniest part comes from the Swiss administration and its Federal Council. In a report published on November 3 it states:

“So far, no fundraising or other financial activities in favor of Hezbollah within the Lebanese Shiite diaspora have been observed.”

“A ban on Hezbollah or its activities could furthermore have negative effects on Switzerland’s image and on the work of the security services.”

For these reasons, the Federal Council does not intend to introduce additional measures against Hezbollah as an organization. However, all existing legal means will continue to be used in Switzerland in order to identify, prevent and punish any illegal activity committed by persons linked to Hezbollah.

The situation becomes particularly laughable when we look at the nationality of the players who have just been sanctioned by the DOJ for selling the smuggled oil to Hezbollah.

You are not dreaming, it is indeed the Geneva company AVA Petroleum, headed by the Ukrainian Viktor Artemov who resides in the most expensive district of the canton of Geneva in Cologny. His partner is the Swiss Gregorio Fazzone and they are well designated as the main responsible of the network sanctioned by the OFAC.

Many Ukrainian oligarchs are based in Switzerland and are known to be close to organized crime. The Federal Council probably did not foresee that Viktor Artemov, known from the Panama Papers and the Cyprus Register, could have activities with Hezbollah. He is neither bearded nor Muslim, so not on the Swiss radar, bad luck!

But which administration is naiver, the US one which allows the gas deal or Switzerland?

We are living in a wonderful time that is shaking up all the teachings. The US has a senile president who was losing his way again this week in the White House garden. In Lebanon, General Aoun, 84 years old, ends his career as a puppet of Hezbollah on October 31. He leaves behind him a country on its knees with 80% of the population below the poverty line and a national currency that is no longer worth anything. In Israel, Prime Minister Yair Lapid may no longer be in power in a few days and the outcome of the election rests in the hands of the religious ultra-Orthodox.

In this completely improbable geopolitical context, Israel and Hezbollah find a way to sign an agreement on the territorial waters between the two countries and the exploitation of future gas resources.

As no Russian or Israeli company can install a drilling platform in Lebanese waters, the French state provide its guarantee to Totalenergies which will start exploration works in block 9 which shows promise in natural gas. Totalenergies holds 60 percent of the license and Qatar will get 40 percent. The profits will be distributed 17% in favor of Israel and 83% in favor of Lebanon. The whole agreement has the blessing of the USA and “Sleepy Biden”. The French parliament will not even debate on this matter.

In September Hassan Nasrallah threatened to attack the Karish offshore gas field if Israel started to extract gas from it. He is undoubtedly relieved not to have to start a new war that would have destroyed Lebanon for good. Despite the contractual denials of both sides and the commitments before the UN, it is clear that Hezbollah will receive most of the dividends of this future gas windfall. It is materially impossible to be otherwise.

In Israel, this operation allows Yair Lapid to show his ability to govern the country and gives him a chance to form a coalition. We can only hope that the Israeli people understand what is at stake, as this agreement is surrounded by a total lack of transparency.

To better convince them, the Israeli company listed in London, Energean, begins today the extraction of gas from the Karish field. At the same time, General President Aoun is using his last hours of power to convince Totatenergies to begin exploration without even waiting for the formal signing of the agreement.

For the first time in modern history, the signatories of an agreement that could bring peace between Israel and its Lebanese neighbor will not be of any importance.

All that remains is to thank Vladimir Putin alias “Vlad the Bad” for creating an unprecedented gas energy crisis by invading Ukraine. What are we really going to write in the history books, at the dawn of the upheavals caused by climate change and the need to abandon fossil fuels?

The Court of Appeal of Paris has just condemned Bernard Henri Levy to pay 6,000 euros in procedural costs to the information website BLAST [2] which was the first to dare to publish the letters of corruption from Qatar. Through this judgement, the Court admits the authenticity of these documents.

More recently, the Sunday Times [3] has published the content of other documents from Operation Raven. Thus, Prince Charles had to admit that he received in briefcases 3MEUR in 500 euro banknotes from Qatar.

All observers are now looking towards Israel and the November 1 elections. The documents concerning Benjamin Netanyahu have also been published in France and taken up by us. They have been in the hands of the Israeli authorities for a long time. However, no Israeli media has had the authorization or the courage to publish them. The voters will therefore go to the polls without knowing anything about the 50 million dollars paid to the former Prime Minister by Qatar. However, the Ministry of Justice and the public prosecutor have a copy of the Qatari letters.

No complaint has been filed within the legal time limit of three months for the book “Jeux de guerre” [4] by Marc Eichinger, which relates all the details of these documents in detail and unfortunately only in French to date.

On June 29, the online media BLAST also organized a press conference in Geneva to give the floor to Abdullah Zouhair, international consultant, former International Labour Organization ILO regional adviser for the Arab countries of the Middle East, expert on Qatar.

The Moroccan, who has no animosity against Qatar, obeys nothing other than his sense of justice, his ethics, his moral duty to tell the truth.

For two hours he explained in detail how Qatar had obtained the favors of the ILO with an envelope of 25 MUSD. How people willing to simply do their job had their contracts not renewed.

The most tragic thing is the pseudo abolition of the Kafala system that the ILO has welcomed while nothing has changed in substance. The worker cannot change employer without the agreement of the Qatari Ministry of Labour, which refers to the employer, who still keeps the passport in most cases.

Worse, in the richest state in the world, it is now normal according to the International Labor Organization, that a worker earns 200 dollars a month to work twelve hours a day in appalling conditions.

Today Abdullah Zouhair is a peaceful retiree who still shares his knowledge as an independent consultant. He has made this effort to be transparent for all of us, so that a man is not treated less than a dog. Glory to you Mr. Zouhair, you are a credit to Morocco and we owe you respect.

In December 2021, two months before the ill-fated invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops, Qatar acquired the port of Olvia (Oktyabrsk in Ukrainian). The joint venture QTerminal consisting of Qatar Navigation and Qatar Port Management spent $140 million to have the management of the Olvia port facilities for 35 years.

This agreement is not reassuring, the staff has a job guarantee of at least 6 years and the priority in hiring is for local employment. In short, Qatar finances but the workforce remains local. Anywhere else this clause would not be a problem. But the port of Olvia is associated with all the recent conflicts, suffering and abuses around the world. It is from this port on the Black Sea that cargoes loaded with weapons and ammunition of all kinds go down to the Bosphorus Strait and then, if necessary, through the Suez Canal.

Already in the heyday of the USSR, the famous Cuban missiles of the Anadyr operation, which almost caused a third world war, came from Olvia. Closer to us, Olvia sent missiles to Iran in 2001, tanks to Yemen, 1000 tons of arms to Uganda in 2008, weapons to Sudan and South Sudan. Cargo ships have also unloaded large quantities of war material at the port of Um Qasr in Iraq. In short, Ukraine and Russia export together to all conflicts including Bashar’s Syria.

The legitimate elements of the Free Syrian Army never had any chance to get out of it. Stuck between arms deliveries to Bashar Al Assad’s regime and Operation Timber Sycamore which flooded all factions including Daech with military equipment, in the name of “everything but Bashar”.

For Africa and the Middle East, the war in Ukraine is a moment of peace to be savored. As long as it lasts, the kleptocrats who run dictatorships and rebellions of all kinds can’t get their supplies. At least not as usual.

No matter what the outcome of the fighting is, what follows will undoubtedly be more dangerous. The war will give birth to reconstruction. A monster fed on the bottle of corruption. The same corruption that has already destroyed Iraq and Afghanistan, claiming many more lives than the armed conflict.

In Ukraine for more than thirty years the activity of Donbass and Olvia is under the control of many gangs, the Muslim Tatars, the Krantz and Kushnir for the Jews, Givi Nemsadze [¹] for the Georgians. Rinat Akhmetov, born in a very poor family had no education and worked as butcher’s boy. He became one of the richest men in the world. But the Ukrainian oligarch threatens with an army of lawyers anyone who digs into his past.

He owns the most expensive villa in France in Saint-Jean Cap Ferrat, which makes him a notable person, unlike his Russian neighbors who are now personae non grata. How will he rebuild Ukraine with his colleague Vadim Novinsky? He is Russian but with a Ukrainian passport since 2012. Both owe a lot to Putin and this is just one example.

The criminal nebula operating in the region is neither Russian nor Ukrainian, just criminal, its only flag is a banknote. For intelligence agencies, it is known as the Odessa network. Nothing to do with the eponymous Nazi network. It is a nebulous network of Western offshore and onshore companies whose Gordian knot is in Odessa [²].

The whole world of intelligence is well aware of the danger that the post-war period will represent with Russian services that will not give up anything to protect their export arms industry and the Ukrainians who will find their political mafia.

For the time being, western Ministry of Defense are controlling the information and are avoiding questions on the reconstruction. One thing at a time! Fine. We are sending Milan missiles and armored vehicles to Ukraine to help our side. Full support for Zelenskyy, this is a good decision. The guideline is sober and clear.

Many countries take advantage of the opportunity to get rid of old, outdated or obsolete equipment and all claim loud and clear support for Ukraine. As an example, the French Milan missile, widely sold for export, is reformed from the Belgian army since 2010 and the French army since 2017 [³]. Many private military companies are active on the ground with relative discretion. Western support is not displayed to avoid an extension of the conflict but the war business is flourishing.

Except for the American and European arms lobby, Ukraine is not a stake, no oil or natural resources. Its economic partners are primarily Russia and China. As in Russia, the aging population does not have children and is not very productive. Azovstal was built in 1935, and despite some improvements, it was already out of breath a long time ago.

We must have the courage to admit that the hardest part will come after the end of the fighting. Qatar has financed all the God’s fools everywhere without limit. Will it make an alliance with the Odessa network, or will it choose a particular side? Will the arms industry relocate? Which dictatorship will receive the next arms shipment from the pacified Ukraine?

Most of our readers have a good understanding of war. It is always excessive, absolute, without any limits. War provides a context for human error, but when the errors are large and numerous, the cause must be sought elsewhere than in incompetence.

On February 2, the United States Senate Committee on Foreign Relations received the report of Republican Senator James E. Risch (Idaho) on the American debacle in Afghanistan. After reading “Left Behind” one can no longer use the word withdrawal, debacle is the only word that fits.

Can treason and corruption explain the debacle of the most powerful army in the world? Is it possible that members of the Biden administration had personal interests in orchestrating this tragic end? It is up to you to judge on the basis of the elements coming from the Risch report:

“On April 14, 2021, President Biden announced the full withdrawal of U.S. forces from Afghanistan by September 11, which provided 150 days to plan for and execute the withdrawal”.

Biden gave the green light to the evacuation without any discretion and exactly at the most favorable moment of the fighting season for the Taliban. His National Security Adviser, Jake Sullivan is personally involved in the process and did not resigned.

In response, the intelligence community sent tons of warning:

”The Biden Administration ignored numerous intelligence reports about the potential for a speedy Taliban takeover of Kabul”

Everything, absolutely everything is done to make the evacuation a nightmare;

“When the decision to evacuate was belatedly made, the evacuation effort was severely hampered by the earlier decision to close Bagram Air Base. This air base would have improved the ability for evacuations to take place and its abandonment allowed for the release of thousands of extremists, including one who participated in the terrorist attack which killed 13 U.S. service members.”

The Pentagon has effectively admitted that there was no shooting or coordinated attack, only one man found the means to be released from Bagram, find an explosive vest and come to Kabul to blow himself up at the airport. He was alone at the time of the explosion but necessarily supported by a network.

Moreover, the decision to close Bagram in July is catastrophic; we are well beyond human error. The largest US military base in Afghanistan was abandoned in the middle of the night without its new Afghan commander being informed.

“The administration did not make a decision on evacuations from Afghanistan until a National Security Council Deputies Committee meeting on August 14, mere hours before the fall of Kabul.”

National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan insists he’s ‘not heard’ if anyone will be fired for the Afghanistan mess amid calls for him to resign for ‘ignoring Taliban warnings because he wanted to do what Biden wanted’

Not only does the US administration ignore the need to evacuate, it rejects Pakistan’s offers. Only Qatar finds favor in its eyes:

“Offers from the Pakistani government to host evacuees were rebuffed. To its immense credit, the Qatari government was quick to help, and roughly 57,000 people moved through Qatar during the NEO (noncombatant evacuation operation ).”

Do you think the US administration misunderstood the evacuation process?

It was “warned of rapid territorial gains by the Taliban and the subsequent collapse of Afghan security forces, and offered recommendations on ways to mitigate the crisis and speed up an evacuation. e Secretary Blinken largely took no action after receiving the dissent cable.”

And the report to conclude: “This failure of leadership cost U.S. military personnel lives and has left tens of thousands behind to an uncertain fate under Taliban control”.

Hollywood movies are very good at turning military disasters into heroic successes. We will probably soon get a movie called “150 Days” or “Operation Pineapple” to tell us how veterans saved 500 Afghans by breaching the airport wall.

Instead of waiting for this masterpiece, we can also urge the US press to make all the necessary efforts for releasing all the Raven files, or at least a few giga’s of corruption letters. There is no doubt that the American administration has been corrupted, both Democrat and Republican, so was the French [1], the British and Israeli administrations to name a few. Raven ‘s files prove that Qatar was able to infiltrate Israel. President Trump asked Representative Scott Taylor (former Seal) and Rudolph Giuliani to get hold of all the leaks from this operation. They failed. Only the complete publication of all the documents obtained by Abu Dhabi can help identifying the moles.

In Iraq more than anywhere else in the world we have the right to know who we are dealing with. In December 2021, Jake Sullivan former Hillary Clinton adviser tweeted “Countering corruption is a national security priority for the Biden-Harris Administration”. So publish the Raven files!

The United States intervened militarily in Afghanistan for more than twenty years at a total cost of $14 trillion dollars. A sum that is difficult for the human brain to grasp but perfectly understood by the arms lobby that profited greatly from it.

All the armed forces that have fought in Afghanistan know that war is seasonal and that the fighting season goes from early spring in April to the end of October just before the cold and snow arrive. Yet the Biden administration, pushed by Qatar, decided to abandon Afghanistan in the middle of summer, when the enemy forces were most mobile. The debacle could never have taken place under these conditions during the winter period.

The altitude is lower in Iraqi Kurdistan, but we know how to deal with this weather difference when it comes to combat. Our peshmerga have had good training like the Afghan forces and they would never have given up without fighting.

Why did the Afghan army let this happen?

Taliban fighters enjoy writing threat letters as well as certificates of good conduct. They offered the soldiers to drop their weapons and go home in exchange for small sums of money, around $300 dollars and the guarantee that the recipient will not be bothered. Although it is still very difficult to collect testimonies on the spot, still some officers who have fled abroad admit that there was corruption. Qatar was the only country that knew the details of the diplomatic advances and was technically able to make this kind of manipulation.

The real relationship with Qatar

In his memoirs President Obama gives two pieces of information that are worth mentioning. He did not want the war in Libya to drag on and he called Sarkozy and Cameroon to propose a solution. According to Obama the two European heads of state were relieved. A few pages later he confided that the American operation in Libya costed $550 million USD, “barely more than the cost of a day’s operation in Iraq or Afghanistan” and “not a single human loss” on the American side.

In his last book “Jeux de guerre” Marc Eichinger comes back on this episode and on the payment by Qatar of 300 million EUR to the French army to intervene in Libya. He specifies that the British and French armies spent exactly the same amount on the ground.

The author specializing in international corruption has already publicly denounced the Ausra case. All information was given to the FBI. In February 2010 the French company Areva, at the time number one in the European nuclear industry, paid more than $200 million USD to Al Gore by buying a small company specialized in solar energy. It went bankrupt in the process. The counterparty was, among other things, privileged credit commitments with a direct intervention of President Obama (POTUS himself approved moving it ahead – PDF).

Marc Eichinger also notes that Al Gore was able to sell his television channel Current TV to Al Jazeera for $500 million USD in January 2013. No one will claim that this is a corrupt operation.

But Al Gore got a very good price and Al Jazeera America will not live two years. Of course, the parallel between Ausra and Current TV is purely coincidental.

The 2022 defense budget of the Biden administration is $715 billion dollars ($811 trillion in 2021). Joe Biden is 79 years old; his Vice President Kamala Harris is non-existent. No country at peace has ever had such a military spending budget. The weight of the arms lobby dictates US foreign policy and nothing else.

On January 31, 2022, Qatar Airways ordered up to 50 large cargo planes and committed to buying up to 50 Boeing 737 Max jets, a huge win for the U.S. aircraft maker over European rival Airbus.

Qatar can buy war material from the USA and gets out its checkbook, that is why it becomes the best non-NATO ally.

Of course, if countries of the former USSR join NATO they will have to increase their arms purchases and the US military lobby can rejoice over the Ukrainian crisis. But none of these countries has the means of Qatar. The US are not threatened but they need a rich ally even if it betrays them regularly.

A part of the world has just celebrated “Yalda“, the longest night, that of December 21 and the transition between autumn and winter. Unfortunately, we can only observe that it is the feast of peoples who suffer, like Iran or Afghanistan.

According to the legend, this day brings hope, the night will begin to shorten, the light will triumph as justice. The poorest can always hold on to this symbol, it can only help them.

This is the moment chosen by National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan to meet the Israeli Prime Minister. The name probably doesn’t ring a bell. Yet it is associated with a particularly bloody period.

Sullivan was a foreign affairs adviser to Vice President Biden during the Obama era. He was also Hillary Clinton’s right-hand man when she launched Operation Zero Footprint. During this operation, arms broker Marc Turi delivered tons of weapons to the rebels fighting forces loyal to Gaddafi in Libya. Very soon afterwards, control of the Libyan conflict was lost, as well as the military equipment that was sent to Syria and Iraq via Turkey.

The Libyan debacle earned Sullivan a closed-door session before the panel, which was investigating the 2012 terrorist attacks that killed four Americans in eastern Libya and Clinton’s email.

Sullivan and Hillary Clinton are adherents of “smart power” thinking, an elitist concept developed by Joseph Nye, a former Defense Department official turned Harvard professor.

In a February 12, 2012 email to Hillary Clinton from his office, Jake Sullivan rejoices about Syria: “AQ is on our side in Syria”.

This is a performance that will leave a mark on the minds of those who observe the war games in that region. Let’s be happy to see this smart power advocate advising President Biden again. On July 21, during the Kabul debacle, Emir Al Thani boasted on Twitter that he had met with Jake Sullivan, a key interlocutor in Washington.

At the beginning of the summer, the Taliban offered cash to the Afghan army and a letter of amnesty by name to all those who gave up the fight. But don’t the smart power advocates ask themselves where this money comes from? There is no question of getting angry with Qatar, which has financed just about every terrorist group in Africa and the Middle East. In his latest Twitter post, Jake Sullivan says: “Countering corruption is a national security priority for the Biden-Harris Administration. This is somewhat reassuring for Naftali Bennett who does not enjoy the honors of the White House. He will meet with one of the most brilliant representatives of the Democratic smart power.

The issue at stake in this meeting will be to decide whether war against Iran is inevitable. Yalda Mubarak!

It is not every day that one can draw a parallel between the situation of the Kurds of Iraq and that of the Israelis. Yet our elders remember that the past has forged indestructible links.

As from 1948 the operations Ezra and Nehemiah (name of the prophets of the return to Jerusalem) allowed the Iraqi Jews and Kurds to leave Iraq. The Mossad agent Mordechai Ben Porat was at the helm with the support of the clandestine movement He Haloutz but he also had the support of Mulla Mustafa Barzani. In 1951 all those who wanted to leave were able to do so, the links between Israel and the Kurds of Iraq were never broken.

In 1966 the Israeli agent Tzuri Sagi came to the rescue of Mulla Mustafa and his peshmergas to enable him to defeat the Baghdad troops on Mount Handrin.

At that time, money was only a tool to build a civil society ideal. The commitment of the Israelis to build their country was unwavering.

Over the years, the country has been able to develop, to become stronger despite the great imbalances with families too powerful to respect others.

The 21 st century has brought us to the reign of “money madness” and corruption. As we published a few weeks ago, Qatar has been able to infiltrate Israel and the highest level of decision-making power. The consequences have been dramatic. Of course, it is a coincidence. In the wake of this news, four senior Mossad officials have just retired. The insistence that nothing unusual happened becomes dubious in light of what is also going to take place at the Shin Bet. Heads will roll soon , we just wonder how many will retire?

If the hackers of the team “Moses Staff” use symbols and graphics that recall the Judaism, do not be mistaken, it is indeed an Iranian group. In March 2019 at the time of the elections the Iranians had already hacked the cell phone of Benny Gantz who was heading of the alliance Kahol Lavan. He was then the main opponent of Netanyahu.

He was in contact with hackers called “Black Shadow”. They only had to pay 7000 dollars to convince this Israeli employee to hack into the home computer of the current Minister of Defense. You can imagine the danger if there was critical information in that computer. Fortunately, Benny Gantz is not Hillary Clinton, he doesn’t mix private business with his job.

In the KRG or in Baghdad this kind of “pay to play” infiltration is done every day. Anything is possible for those who can pay.

In Israel, the Shin Bet is in charge of conducting a thorough security clearance on every individual who can perform a service or even approach a minister. After the 50 million dollars paid by Qatar to Netanyahu, we have a serious criminal who manages to get a clearance and the Shin Bet sees nothing.

Is there a small problem of corruption in the Shin Bet? How much does a security clearance cost? Can we compare prices with Iraq? That would be fun!

When we ask the American officials why they let the Kurdish leaders strip the KRG of its resources, the answer is always the same. It doesn’t matter what they do with the oil money and the people, as long as they do services when asked. This is the most absurd policy imaginable.

The Israelis are like the Kurds, they do favors, render services. They do well to train their army to fight a possible enemy from within. Like us, they have to start with the gangrene of corruption.
