Congratulatory Message to Mr. Selahattin Demirtash, Co-chair of HDP and its Elected MPs

Dear Mr. Selahattin Demirtash:
We members of the Kurdish American Education Society Los Angeles, and the greater Kurdish Community in Southern California, extend our warmest congratulations to you and People’s Democratic Party’s (HDP) elected members of parliament for your impressive and unprecedented electoral victory in Turkey. For Kurds, this is indeed one of the greatest political achievements in this century. We wish all of you success as you embark on your new and demanding responsibilities. The difficult and dangerous campaign never obscured your vision nor did you lose your political equanimity in the face of all odds.
We are confident that now with a legislative mandate, you will continue to chart a new course of action to advance and promote both Kurdish human, cultural, and economic rights and those of other minorities who entrusted their votes to you.
Thank you for your dedication to the common cause. We know that this victory would not have been possible without the struggle and sacrifice our people. We congratulate you again and are looking forward to promising political changes in near future.

Ma, seba zaferê wecînayişo bitesîr û bêemsal, sey endamê Komeleya Perwerdeyîya Kurdê Amerîka ê Los Angelesî ke Vaşûrê Kalîfornîya de ca gena, tebrîkanê xoyê germînan erşawenê to û endamanê meclîse ke ameyî weçînayişî ê Partîya Demokratîk ê Şaran (HDP) rê. Seba Kurdan, raşta zî no serkewtişêko polîtîk o tewr pîl bi. Ma şima hemeyine rê xobicakerdişê ne berpirsîyarîyanê şima yê newe û zehmetan de serkewtiş wazenê. Kampanyayê zor û talûkeyî çi rey vîzyonê şima tarî nêkerd û hemberê temamê niheqîyan de şima giranîya xo ya polîtîk nêkerd vindî.
Ma bawer kenê ke enka, bi rayêka qanûnî şima go bidestvistiş û raverberdişê heqê Kurdan û ê miletê kemîneteweyan ke rayê xo emanetê şima kerda heqê înan ê însanî, kulturî û ekonomîkî ser plansazîyêka newe hedre kerê û aye ser şima go xebatanê xo dewam bikerê.
Sipas seba ke şima sereyê xo dawayê şarê ma ser no ro. Ma zanê ke na serfirazîye bê mucadele û fedakarîya şarê ma ga mumkun nêbo. Ma reyna şima fîraz kenê û bi çar çiman hêvîya bicaardişê bedelyayişan ê.
