There are anecdotal evidences that these tumultuous period and conflicts in the Middle East going through in this century, it would have supporting concept of what Europe went through from beginning 5th through the end of 15th century. There are innumerous’ tales published books, articles, scholars and writer’s observation as to what took places, during Medieval Period, however the focus of this narrative is not to dig the details of European’s medieval period, but just to shade a bit of comparison then, too ongoing conflicts in the most Middle Eastern Countries today’s; including autocratic systems, tribalism, religious conflicts of theocratic systems, corruption scandals among hierarchy, perhaps the root cause of these ongoing skullduggery projects, barbarism specifically in Iraq, Syria and Yemen in many other Countries: “many scholars call the era the “Medieval periods” instead, middle Ages, they say incorrectly implies that the period is insignificant and blip sandwiched between two much more important epochs. The phrase “Middle Ages” tells us more about the era itself.

Starting around 14th century, European thinkers, writers and artists began to look back and celebrate the art and culture of ancient Greece and Rome. Accordingly they dismissed the period after the fall of Rome as“Middle” or event “Dark ages” in which no scientific accomplishment had been made, no great art produced, no great leaders born. The people of the middle Ages had squandered the advancement of their predecessors, this argument went, and mired themselves instead in what 18th century English historian Edward Gibbon called barbarism and religion.”- (Wikipedia)

Upon the tumbling of Rome, no single authority was capable unifying the people of Europe. In lieu, the religions became the prominent authority (Catholic Churches) of the Medieval Period. Kings, Queens and heads of states acquired great extent of their authorities from religion, and personal fiefdoms. At that time, Islamic world was growing with a synergistic effect in the technological area; the first watch was invented then in today’s Iraq. There anecdotal evidences, the clumsily spins debacle in in the most Middle East’s today is similar to what happen in European continent in Medieval period.

However, there is plenty of blame to go around of the most Middle East flail of upheavals, but the United Kingdom and France governments at that time, should bear the high percentage of blames; upon defeating the corrupted Ottoman Empire, these two governments divvying up the Middle East, setting up these mini states throughout the region, installing the imported Monarchs without the check and balances of institutions, from Executive branches, Judicial and Legislatives to any regulatory standard, for concerned people of this region. As time delved, some of these absolute monarchs were overthrown by a military coup d’état, such as Iraq, Syria, Libya and Yemen, and the list goes on, like under the banner of fall’s social nationalism. The Kurdish nation had become the biggest loser of unjust arbitral divvy of Middle East from remnant of Ottoman Empire via both British and French governments; despite many Kurdish politicians attempting to set up some kind of nationhood state accommodation during the peace conference at the end of World War I, their voices for political aspirations were side lined; still continue to unavailing.

The dictators are strong, the inductive reasoning, but once unraveled, it is just like placing a fire on the cotton, the bondage system just melts away, along with their abettors, as it has observed in many countries, it is true that the weapon is important in any battlefield war, but people fight, not weapons, as it has been perceived the fighting between Iraqi forces and the nihilistic ISIS/ISIL. The Middle Eastern civilization, though we heard about it, is over. The Middle East world today more than ever is violent, chaotic, fragmented and controlled via extremism, the extremism of dictators and those in oppositions, that any time, the beginning of early 20th century. The promise of political dearth- restoration of all, but is gone.

Since the rise of nihilistic ISIS/ISIL, so called Islamic State, the US President Barack Obama’s administration has come up with a slogan; “we will defeat and destroy ISIS/ISIL.” Meanwhile, this nihilistic terrorist state is holding more territory than the size of Great Britain, and ISIS/ISIL is making bolder attacks on both Iraqi and Syrian troops, despite Kurdish “Peshmerga” troops lacking the quality of weapons, they are standing tall against ISIS/ISIL pressures, and defeating them and combating terrorism, in both Kurdish areas, in Iraq and Syria, there have been overwhelmingly international support to arm the Kurds directly, to fight this rapacious malignant-virulent snake- ISIL/ISIS, the Obama administration is unwilling to do so, that is due to the regional realpolitik. That is an indication that the weakness in the US foreign policy and lack of front line leadership: Saudi Arabia, along with other mini Gulf States’ political survival life line is greatly dependent on the United States support, at the last minute the head of these Arab states chose not to attend the “Camp David” Summit on security issues in the Middle East in Maryland, in the United States, with President Obama.

One should think, this kind of pejorative approach per se, how Iranian theocratic regime, China‘s Communist Party , or the new Czar of Russia Vladimir Putin will assess and re-evaluate the status of US foreign policy on variety issues such as nuclear disarmaments and security, maritime, including many other Global issues & concerns under President Obama’s administration. No one can precisely foretell what the future going to look like, but most likely the prevalence view, no military action will be taken against ISIS/ISIL, while President Obama is in the White House (boots on the ground).

It took the European continent several centuries to revert back from ramifications of the “Dark Ages”, tribalism, religious rules, to the institutional rules, and democratic system of governing’s of today. There are many emblematic signs that the Middle East is going through its medieval period, or the “Dark Ages”.

Fraudulent justice will be challenged; as Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said, “injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” However, this quid pro quo of quasi states are fait accompli; these factions do not adhere to the national flags statehood anymore, they are intolerant of intolerance, they are sectarian tribes carrying their co-religious flags and Communal flags.

Alas, the Genie is out of the bottle, this political crisis-row giving birth to another vicious cycle, is like avian influenza ravaging a poultry flock on the field; the ongoing carnage and conflict that is confronting the Middle Eastern people; the disparaging trajectory for the future of the Middle East of multi-ethnic people, doesn’t look promising.
