The enigma of Assyrian Utopian ambitions and its content on the Nineveh plain is beyond the scope of this essay; at same time this article must not be considered against the defend and protections of equivalent the minority‘s rights: However, trying to shade light in the recent events that revealed in the media outlets with over 200 Assyrians paramilitary forces defending their villages around Mosul City.

Spokesman Albert Kesso: “we are here because of the ISIS carnage. No doubt we will defend our lands. But the second the ISIS threat is over, we will go back to our ordinary live.” It is very conspicuous that the ISIS/ISIL terrorists in general are threat to all the humanities, particularly perilous to all regional minorities, especially people different faiths and believes. However, Kesso’s utterance’s most likely, it is a politically charged statement; “We have a right to an independent entity, like other nations,” says Ashour Givargis.

“We trust international treaties more than the will of the Iraqi state to grant us our rights,” he adds. there is no doubt, any political situation is undeniably complex; In the early 1930’s the Assyrians spiritual leader Mar Sham’un forwarded a plan national homeland for all Assyrians around world, in Dohuk districts, Amadiya, and including Zakho area.

Sham’un refused to become an Iraqi citizen. As one may observe it is incoherent perimeter, they Kild-Assyrians are scattered over a wide area, for example; Northeastern Zakho City “Ashira Sindya”, acrimony name for a tribe, it is composed of 120 villages more, less, only about 20 villages are Kildo – Assyrian Christian, these villages are at locations different, etc.

Nationally and internationally, there are two (2) officially recognized forces in Iraq: The Iraqi army and the Kurdish forces “Peshmerga” but Albert Kesso doesn’t point out which Authority has approved these paramilitary forces. In addition, Nineveh plain is incoherent perimeter to one entity, it is home of several other minorities: Shabak Kurds, Yezidi Kurds, Kakai – Kurds, and Turkmen, kildonan, Nestorians, including Shia and Sunnah Arabs, and the others… Most of the aforementioned communities confer with different faiths and believes; the feasibility to bisect this area as many neo Assyrians wish, it is next to impossible: Hence one village is Assyrian, the next village possibly Shabak Kurds, next to that village might be Kildonan, another might be an Arab village, etc. In addition, Arabization policy under various Sunnah led governments in Iraq, have taken its toll geographically on the minorities population especially on the Kurds, because the Baghdad leaders perceived the Kurds are perilous to their rules, therefore the Kurds were intentionally deported from concerned areas.

Historically the Kurds have protected minorities’ rights: During the leadership of late Gen. Mustafa Barzani the struggle for Kurdish liberation movement, many KDP Cadres were Kildo – Assyrian Christians, and others, including peshmerga forces. International Communities has praised Kurdistan Regional Government on the minorities’ issues and rights in Kurdistan, including given representation commensurate with proportion in whole population, to have Members in Kurdistan Regional Parliament accordingly- preserving their own identity.

There is a written book by David Rothkopf, a section of that book, which states there are few wealthy people in control of the world stage, mainly in term of politics and finances, etc… “Each of them is one in a million. They number six thousand on a planet of six billion. They run our government, our largest corporations, the powerhouses, of international finance, the media, world religions, and, from the shadows…”

Vice President Nouri al-Maliki claims, he is a public servant, if his words represent his deed; then he owes to all the Iraqi people an explanation the recent arrest of his son Ahmed with 1.5 billion US dollars. In addition, in accordance with Lebanese media since early 2014, there have been very close to three billion of US dollars transfer from Iraqi bank to Lebanon’s bank, via the son, Ahmed. Here is another suggestion: I would urge the Vice President he (Nouri), and all his associates that are Iraqi ship captains, to go to in front of a big mirror look at themselves, and say since 2003, the power given us what have we done, or accomplished better than our predecessors? Perhaps Nouri al-Maliki and many of Iraqi ship captains will be qualified, into episode category to what Mr. Rothkopf described in one section of his book!

Dichotomy of current leadership in Baghdad has pursued to sectarian failure policy, henceforth, the root causes of uprising many fragmented groups, deferent militias, including but not limited to, Shias’ militias, as one can observe, and detect buoyed, discreet belligerent like “Wild West Movie Actors” act, – Shia’s militias receiving their orders from Iranian revolutionary Guards. Shia capricious leaders in Baghdad had potential to be a force of good, for a unified multi-ethnic nation, just like late Nelson Mandela and ANC; the South African leaders forgave but not forgot the white minority apartheid rulers. It looks, if one is to enforce the Iraqi democracy and its constitution to work under amalgamated power of former Prime Minister Nouri al –Maliki, now he is the Vice President, Former Prime Minister Ibrahim al -Jaafari, now he is Foreign Minister, Hadi Al -Ameri of Bader Brigade leader, and many others; it is just like one is to build another “Taj Mahal” in North pole on a floating ice ship, probably Russian President Vladimir Putin then will reclaim the floating ship, because he might say, once upon time the Russian Czar Nichole II visited and hunted a sheep in North pole.
