UNITED NATIONS,— Israel told the United Nations Security Council on Friday that it would not end its military campaign against Iran until Tehran’s nuclear infrastructure is dismantled and its military threats are neutralized.
“We will not stop,” Israeli Ambassador to the UN Danny Danon said during the emergency session. “Not until Iran’s nuclear threat is dismantled, not until its war machine is disarmed, not until our people and yours are safe.”
The remarks followed a large-scale Israeli military air strikes launched on June 13, 2025. According to Israeli officials, airstrikes targeted key nuclear and military sites across multiple locations in Iran.
Iran responded by urging the Security Council to intervene. Ambassador Amir Saeid Iravani condemned the Israeli attacks, warning that the conflict could expand. “
Israel has stated it will continue this strike campaign indefinitely. We are alarmed by credible reports that the United States might join this war,” Iravani told the Council.
Tehran also confirmed the deaths of top military officials, including Major General Mohammad Bagheri and IRGC commander Hossein Salami. Ten top nuclear scientists were also reported killed in the strikes, according to Iranian authorities.
