Historically Kobani is the Kurdish city, under the role of various regimes in Damascus the Kurds living in these perimeters of under Syrian role were non grata in their own homes, since artificially created state of Syria ( “ Sykes – Picot Agreement on May 1916”) they were called foreigners, or “ajanb” but since the uprising against Assad dynasty role, the Kobani City including other Kurdish areas has been declared an autonomous region by the Kurdish people of this region, and all the people of self- declared governing regions have enjoyed a sense of rich diversity among the majority Kurds along many the other minorities, Syrics, Yazidi Kurds, Arabs, Christians, and others, the Kobani City had been a peaceful city.

Most people of Kobani were farmers, and it was famous for producing olive oil; until those monsters ISIS/ISIL so called the Islamic state with their black flag appeared on the horizon, several thousand child killers, women rapers, with their superior weapons which captured from both Iraqi army and Syrian army, they attacked the peaceful people of Kobani with its surrounding areas.

ISIS/ISIL pronged from all directions, the regional impressions, as well as international views among politicians and military experts were, the city will fall into submission, just like Mosul city, Shingar city, in Iraq, and Raqqa city in Syria, just like many other places, the observers thought it is just matter of time that the City of Kobani will fall to prey.

Turkish president Recep Erdogan omen it is waste of time, the city fall is foregone conclusion. But against all the odds the zeal spirit men and women of the Kurdish people in Kobani proved that all those speculations wrong so fare, they with stood tall against the barbaric and the relentless attacks from the foe, fended off endless ferocious attackers.

It is a very well-known proverb from the late Former House Speaker Tip O’Neil- US Congress, “all politics is local” what probably the congressman meant that the politicians and political parties out to listen to their constituents. Therefore, when the Kurdish president Massoud Barzani of autonomous region of southern Kurdistan-Iraq sent 150 peshmarga to assist with brethren in the city of Kobani fighting against the thugs of Islamic foe terrorists; the emotions, and expression are the thirst for unity of the Kurdish people all over the world were unreserved, including immeasurable enthusiasms of local people when peshmerg were enroute to Kobani City.

These all are indications that the Kurdish people would like to see the sense of unity, must be the high priority among political parties and politicians when it comes to the defenses of the aspiration dignities of the Kurdish people.

The Kobani’s fighting forces defenders proved believing the national aspiration of a nation it is much stronger than superior weapons; ISIS/ISIL terrorist clique with much superior weapons still unable to defeat the Kobani Kurdish defenders. The Kobani resistant movement of unprecedented plethora bravery, plaudits and have made one of the greatest chapter of history for the Kurdish people.

In 1960’s to 1975; under the leadership of late Gen. Mustafa Barzani- many battle field took places in southern Kurdistan-Iraq; between peshmerga force and Iraqi army, despite the Iraqi army with superior weapons, the army was beaten in many battle fields because the valiant peshmerga believing their national aspiration; one example in 1965, co-joint Iraqi army and Syrian army offensive operations against Kurdish peshmerga forces in Northwestern Zakho City along Hizel River, despite both armies employed much more sophisticated weapons in that fighting the offense was halted, both armies sustained very high casualties, and they were defeated by the peshmerga forces.

Perplexity stigma of Turkish President Erdogan policy against the Syrian Kurdish autonomous region; most likely his neo authoritarianism is being pushed by his neo nationalism functions.

Another blunt point of misconception, same neo nationalism wing were vehemently opposed to Kurdish autonomous region in southern Kurdistan- Iraq; but today Turkish government and people in Turkey have economically benefited that openness, over thousands of Turkish companies have involved enormous Turkish investment in autonomous regions of Kurdistan, the fear of geopolitical ramification, has become staggered economic expansion for Turkey, specifically in hydro- carbon sect.

Perhaps the same formula in future could apply in Rojava Kurdistan, and it has widely been reported by regional and international media outlets that the Kurds leadership in Syria have tried opening a dialogue channel with Turkish government; so far no positive outcome has yielded.

Late US President Richard Nixon once advised his neoconservative Republican Party members, I don’t like Communist system in Russia either, but we have to get used to it. Maybe President Erdogan need to look around, sense this fraught period, there is a big seismic shift in balance of power and staggered deeply in multi-dimensional change in the Middle East, and suggesting to his neo nationalism members, we don’t like the fait accompli, but we have to live with the change.

Persistent continuum of “negative peace” socially and politically unsustainable; the ongoing social upheaval and calamity in Syria today, is one sample root cause of un-sustained product of negative peace, which Bashar Assad dynasty’s egregious rule and corruptions, for many decades. All Kurdish political parties and politicians must put the national interest above and beyond all other interests. The future of Kobani is still uncertain because of so many unknown factors inside of Pandora’s box, but it’s plaudit of defense should enter into the “Guinness World Records”.
