Dear presidential candidate Biden, I am a legal researcher and human rights activist from Kurdistan Region-Iraq, dealing mainly with corruption and international crimes, writing to you to firstly thank you for your great support for Kurdish people everywhere, which is a great hope for our people.
The other issue I would like to refer to here in this letter is the endemic corruption and grave human rights violations in the Kurdistan Region-Iraq, committed by forces of the ruling Barzani and Talabani families, like torture, murder, rape and illegal imprisonment. Many human rights reports in the United States are a prove of these crimes.
Another concern is the endemic corruption in the Kurdistan Region, with billions of Dollars being diverted to private accounts owned by Barzani and Talabani families, or used to buy properties abroad, even in the United States.
Concerning the Barzani Family, they have historically been, as leaked former KGB-documents reveal, Russian agents working against western interests in the Middle East. I may here refer to a document from former East German Secret Service ”STASI”, Where Massoud Barzani promises to fight against what he referred to as ”American Imperialism”.
I was also myself a witness, as Massoud Barzani and his envoy in Europe, Pirot Ahmed, cooperated with secret services of the former Communist-block, providing them with information and staging demonstrations against a NATO-member on behalf of them.
I can surely prove all what I mention here before an independent court. I may therefore kindly urge you to take the corruption and grave human rights violations in the Kurdistan Region into your consideration while dealing with Kurdistan Region Iraq in the future.
Sincerely
Dr. Kamal Said Qadir
