Epstein files expose unethical acts by U.S. politicians

Epstein files revealed unethical conduct of the American politicians and inequality in the U.S Criminal Justice System

The release of the Jeffrey Epstein files has disclosed the major scandal of many politicians and prominent figures across the world, including the U.S., and sparked widespread public outrage. However, the involvement of American politicians and billionaires in Epstein’s case and their participation in his unethical acts gave the American people a pausing moment to review their perspectives and support for the political community and redefine the American society that is controlled by the billionaires and the powerful politicians.

Epstein led a major child trafficking and sexual abuse operation in history and became the most dangerous pedophile in the world, connecting prominent figures with his operation. After the release of the Epstein files, various groups, activists, and some politicians decried the child abuse and the heinous acts that were committed against the girls on his island and began seeking justice.

However, Epstein’s mysterious suicide on August 10, 2019, while he was in federal custody at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York, generated many questions about whether he committed suicide or was murdered.

For those who worked in corrections, including jails and prisons, it is clear that a high profile inmate such as Epstein would not be left alone without observation in order for him to simply commit suicide! But seemingly the authorities attempted to terminate further investigation.

The Epstein files have not only divulged the scandal of the powerful figures in America but also cleared out the dark cloud from America’s sky, and now people are able to see the corrupt American government and the broken U.S. Criminal Justice System. Clearly, the U.S. president, Donald Trump, after he pushed to pursue and release the Epstein files, is now urging Americans to move on, “I think it’s really time for the country to get on to something else,” Trump said.

The Department of Justice has failed in fulfilling its duty completely in releasing the files despite the legislation, the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which was passed by Congress and signed by Trump. Obviously, the Attorney General, Pam Bondi, has politicized the Justice Department in defending Trump and prioritizing him over her ethical duty as Attorney General. There are many redactions that appeared in the released Epstein files, which became a major concern for the American people.

It is an obvious cover-up by the members of the Trump administration, which broke the trust between the public and the president. Congressman Ro Khanna and Thomas Massie apparently spent two hours reviewing the documents to find that six names were redacted from the released files, “If we found six men that they were hiding in two hours, imagine how many men they are covering up for in those 3 million files,” Congressman Khanna said.

It is noteworthy that one of the men Congressman Khanna named was Sultan Ahmed bin Sulayem, the prominent Emirati businessman. Obviously, Epstein and bin Sulayem exchanged emails and had friendly conversations. Bin Sulayem’s name was one of the many names in the Epstein files redacted by the U.S. Justice Department, which resulted in Attorney General Bondi’s congressional hearing as she faced heated questions from the Democrats regarding her handling of the Epstein files.

The powerful American politicians and billionaires are lacking ethics as they were in a circle of relationships with Epstein with knowledge of his activities in sex trafficking and girls’ sex abuse. Evidently, Trump was one of the stars on Epstein’s island with a strong connection with Epstein. The Trump administration is posing a threat to the Justice System and undermining the power of the Supreme Court and the U.S. Constitution.

However, Epstein’s case has implicated the global elite and created a chain of international perpetrators, and for decades, Epstein continued his acts of pedophilia and human trafficking, and the law enforcement community has failed to provide basic protection to the American people.

According to Jennifer Freeman, the attorney of Maria Farmer, who worked for Epstein as an employee in New York City, Maria reported him to the New York City Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in 1996 for child sex abuse, including child pornography.

The federal authorities failed to act and take the report seriously and conduct a thorough investigation into Farmer’s allegation against Epstein. Obviously, the release of the Epstein files included the 1996 complaint by Farmer. The question now is: Why did the authorities delay action or perhaps disregard Farmer’s complaint?

As there is no one else being prosecuted in Epstein’s case except his girlfriend and conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell, seemingly the Justice Department is not pursuing further investigation to bring charges against those who are associated with Epstein. Although Neama Rahmani, a former U.S. federal prosecutor, said, “Cases aren’t built on documents. They’re based on witness testimony.” But will the Justice Department have the audacity to bring witnesses for testimony since more powerful names are emerging from the documents?

Congressman James McGovern cited a document that included “sworn testimony, under penalty of perjury,” from a girl who said she witnessed Epstein and Trump, prior to his presidency, sexually abusing underage girls. But it is less likely that the powerful individuals named in the files and actively involved in Epstein’s case will be prosecuted, perhaps for two reasons: one, they hold positions that enable them to dominate society and rule the Justice System; and two, they can purchase their freedom and avoid prison.

In 2022, the Duke of York, Prince Andrew, was being sued by Virginia Giuffre in the U.S. District Court in New York for sexual assault when she was 17 years old. While sexual assault charges in the U.S. can be felonies, Prince Andrew’s charge was a civil offense. Apparently, Prince Andrew settled the case by paying Giuffre a compensation estimated to be $16.3 million, according to Time Magazine, and avoided prison time.

The U.S. Justice System has been hijacked by corrupt American politicians and powerful billionaires, and the Department of Justice under Trump has not been able to fulfill its duty and bring justice to every American. In fact, many files on Epstein were redacted ahead of their release that included prominent names as the Department of Justice picked and chose to release and redact despite the Epstein Files Transparency Act being enacted. Congressman Khanna, who is also the co-author of the Act, said that the Department of Justice is “purposefully muddying the waters on who was a predator and who was mentioned in an email.”

After all, the Epstein files revealed the unethical conduct of American politicians, government bureaucracy, and the inequality in the U.S. Criminal Justice System.
