Why Depressor wants to become Oppressor
Shiia scholar Sayyid Muhsin al-Hakim: Al-hakeem Iraq.net

Omar Sindi | exclusive to iKurd.net

For decades/generations both people Shia Arabs and Kurds in Iraq have immensely & harshly mistreated at the hands of various Sunnah installed Lead governments in Bagdad starting from imported Hashemite Monarchy role via British until the end dreaded Dictator Saddam Hussein in 2003; this is the misguided policy of Sykes-Picot Agreement on May 1916; too date, the regional people continue to have immensely suffered, from incoherent, and of realpolitik of forced ethno graphic transition in early 20th Century.

These days, things are far different hence it comes to visioning to those who start from belief that people do have a right and a privilege to a self determination to structure of their own political visions. In general, even though there are too many politicians, or political parties who avowal freedom for their own people, same time ignoring it to the others. There is an adage of 19th Century: “When we are in opposition, we demand freedom for ourselves, in the name of your principles; when we are in power, we will deny you freedom in the name of our principles”. It seems the equivalent is quite clear, that many Shia’s political parties or individual’s in dichotomy, which are anchoring and directing perilous Ship in confused directions of Baghdad leadership.

Late Shia’s scholar Sayyid Muhsin al-Hakim position on the Kurdish issue was cordial; didn’t compromise his standard out of fear that someone couldn’t understand. He did not bow to Sunnah lead government in Baghdad on the Kurdish issues and concern.

Since the demise of the dreadful Baathist regime from Power by the United States Arm forces and coalition partners, and a new “Constitution was adopted on October 15 2005, referendum of the people” there have been tripartite parliamentary elections in Iraq, the participants would have elected the 325 members of the Council of Representatives, including Shia Arabs, Kurds, and Arabs Sunnah, who will elect the Iraqi Prime Minister and President; as expected Iraq being a new Lebanon’s Style politics, with Shia in Iraq being majority, so due members of the council of representatives, but not enough for a single political party to have majority of 163 legislators, therefore it has to be a coalition formed government, the prime minster of Iraq still has to come from a Shia political party, Shia dominated central government whether formation of the government be from Ibrahim al – Jaafari- National Iraqi Alliance Party, or Nouri al- Maliki- State Law Coalition Party or currently selected Haider al- Abadi, the amalgamated power and exchanging ministerial positions back and forth, Mr. Maliki previously was prime minister, now is vice president and Mr. Ibrahim was prime minister, now he is the foreign minister, however the ship captain running actors of leading Iraqi government are from a Shia political parties: At this junction, the critical points in this fraught period in Iraq, what these leaderships have offered and amended to make life better of ordinary people of Iraq, particularly Iraqi Shia populations in general? History doesn’t appear to be a learned lesson to lead its way through crisis of this region‘s quagmire.

Generally, the third world dictators, or autocrats blame all their countries social ills, and mismanagements to some else’s, but themselves: under the premiership of Nouri al-Maliki, Iraq has become de facto three states, he still wanted to continue his failed premiership, for example (Scotland: the Secessionist movement failed to secede via referendum voting from United Kingdom; Alex Salmond conceded the defeat and resigned from party leadership). At same time, it is a very conspicuous, that the several Sunnah Iraqi Arabs chauvinistic movements through terrorist al –Qaeda/now infamous name ISIS/ISIL have succeeded to make good of sectarian movements tearing the country apart, which now Iraqi state exists on paper only. “According to United Nations, more than eight thousand people were killed in 2013 due to sectarian violence’s”.

Amnesty International: “Sunni Insurgents have regularly targeted Shia neighborhoods with car bombs and other attacks”. However two mistakes don’t make one right, killing of any innocent people regardless creed or religious belief, it is a crime against humanity. Associated Press: “Since 2003 and Shiite Militiamen, they have operated outside any legal frame work, and without any official oversight.” The ongoing fights between Kurdish forces peshmerga confronting ISIS/ISIL, in many areas where peshmerga assisted by Iraqi army or Shia militiamen, Bader Brigade Militia headed by Hadi al-Ameri or along with other Iraqi security apparatus’ against terrorist forces ISIS/ISIL, when the area is secured from ISIS/ISIL, the Sunnah Arabs in that area ask for peshmerga’s protections, because the fear of Shia militia’s retributions.

By all accounts it is very apparent that Mr. Ameri leads Bader Organization Militia, but when he rants and raves that are different agenda with unauthenticity prove; several of his recent denial statement, a) vile assertion demonizing Kurdish peshmerga didn’t protect Kirkuk when ISIS/ISIL attacked, had peshmerga not defended Kirkuk? Kirkuk would have fallen just like Mosul City, b) Kurdish peshmerga assisted liberating Iraqi Shia Turkmen town of Amerli which was under siege for about two months Mr. Al –Ameri disapproved that the peshmerga were not involved in that fight against ISIS/ISIL, C) most military experts, and pundits agree had not been intensive Americans air power, and military advisors to protect the Iraqi Capital Baghdad, if not totally fallen most likely partially would have many neighborhoods taken over by ISIS/ISIL, Mr. Ameri has different view, c) Jalawla and Saadiya towns liberated by peshmerga forces, from the terrorist state ISIS/ISIL and more than 20 peshmerga had fallen, he says both towns were liberated by his militia.

All the above repugnant statement should come with no surprises from an indignant politician with unpalatable vision, when his son Mehdi Missed scheduled flight Thursday, March 6, 2014, from Lebanon to Baghdad- Baghdad ‘s authority prevented Lebanese plane from landing for “ not carrying the son of Iraqi transportation minister Hadi al-Ameri”- Posted in Baghdad Politics Variety. It is just like reviving old style atmosphere in Baghdad; during the heydays of Dictator Saddam Hussein, the son Uday used to commence notorious acts, and irrational behaviors; Mr. Al-Ameri not allowing a scheduled Lebanon’s Commercial airline to land at Baghdad International Airport, because the poor son Mehdi unwittingly missed flight schedule. Bader Brigade is lackey, indomitable man he ( Hadi ) will lead Iraq out of these tumultuous and quagmire period; just like he led and chased Lebanon’s passengers plane out of Iraqi air space, not even considering if the civilian air craft was low in fuel?

The enigma Baghdad’s Arabs politics when it comes on the Kurdish land and issues all subsequent regimes to the date, the same mindset, it should not be called disputed areas as far back as 1936-37; various regimes in Baghdad intentionally desired to change ethnography of Kirkuk and in the other areas in favor of Arabs; the first waive migration of Arabs into Kirkuk on 1936-37; that was Al- Ubaidi Arab tribe into Hawija Area. This area was Annual Winter Pasture Grass of Kurdish Jaff tribe, shelter herds. “According to the 1957 census, Kirkuk was 20% Iraqi Turkmen, 59% Kurds, with Arab making up less than 25% of its population”- Wikipedia.

There were no centile evidences, while Ibrahim al –Jaafari was the prime minister of Iraq supporting constitution to resolving so called disputed Kurdish area. On November 20, 2014, Mr. Ibrahim told Rudaw “we will deal with these issues regarding Kirkuk Constitutionally”. At the same time, Shia dominated government keep sending loyal Shia militias to Kirkuk; that is reckless vision dispatching militia’s politically motivated act. The sincerity of these assertions dealing on Kirkuk issues constitutionally, it is highly debatable and open question? The new Iraqi constitution is clearly states on unsettled issues, Saddam’s/Ba’athis’ purge policy have to be reversed, and those abettors have to give back the people’s properties and lands.

Since the nefarious ISIS/ISIL transgression against anyone on their rein, the Kurdish peshmerga forces are fighting and confronting ferocious aggressors ISIS/ISIL, with antiquity of early 20th century weapons. United States, along with several other nations have stated to provide peshmerga heavy weapons or at least to match what ISIS/ISISL captured from both Iraqi army and Syrian army because the hegemony of reactionary governments in the Middle East, the delivery of that aforementioned modern weapons have yet to be materialized.

Alas, monism ramification de-thrive the thread of a society for generations to come, and when misguided policy becomes an integral part of leadership, it causes ordinary people to pay the price through none, of their fault, and suffering irreversible catastrophic consequences.
