Prince Zero, a Potential Zorro in 1001 Words

Jina-Renaissance is facing challenges. While it has created thousands of heroes, still it’s missing a unifying one. It makes me wish for the reappearance of my childhood hero, Zorro, the vigilante who fought abusive establishments in support of disadvantaged people. He understood the dirty tricks of the old establishment and would show up to help the innocent indigenous people each time when they were in trouble. When Jina-Renaissance started, I felt Zorro has multiplied to millions among the new generation.

The new generation, being exposed to the latest achievement of the new world, departed from the obstacles of the old. This generation questions everything the failed traditionalists have imposed on it. This is an awakened generation that is moving towards a real change.

Meanwhile the traditionalists are fighting hard to stop the new generation, to keep status quo or to go one step backward. Four decades ago, the current traditionalists took one step forward by ending over 2.5 millennia of the traditional system of governance. They soon took 2 steps backwards and established one of the most primitive, brutal, and insulting traditional systems on earth, a faith-based system. The outcome was landing at -1.

Now the partially modern traditionalists of five decades ago are trying to end an extremely outdated tradition and bring back a “newer” old one. They argue zero is better than -1. Frankly their point is valid. It is justified to desire zero, if one is being beaten up by -1. Zero if multiplied by anything ends up in zero and if added to anything there won’t be a change. Therefore, it is a challenge to convince the opponents from various camps that zero deserves support.

Some opponents will die out soon anyway. However, before dying out, they rather push back further to the fundamentals of -3 and eliminate anyone who dreams of a different number. They sell an imaginary heaven as the ideal place for the gullible masses, who cannot have a heavenly experience while they are alive. A friend sent me a clip about one of them, a clergy who was advertising that heaven is the ultimate desirable place because of its quality of fish liver, rivers of honey and milk, non-intoxicating wine, and beautiful “hurries”. I asked my friend how I could book a suite in such a resort.

He replied ask the clergy. I imagined doing so and changed my mind after talking to the clergy. I said, apparently, they offer only non-alcoholic wine, the honey and milk are not pasteurized, and the “hurries” are promiscuous and not checked for STDs. I then added, based on that conversation, I decided to book my suite in hell which has a better offer but is hot. For the heat I was told that recently they installed air- conditioning after Jina ended up there for a non-functioning headscarf and people protesting the heat she and many other women suffered from.

Some opponents are extreme dreamers who desire +3 but cannot do anything tangible to get even to +1; they are unwilling to experience full awakening. They cannot understand that most people are so far behind that they cannot see beyond zero. Some opponents desire +2 and are willing to use any means including violence to get there and get rid of their anger. They forget their predecessors tried imposing +2 multiple times, failed every time, and delayed getting to +1.

Some desire to jump from -1 to +1 but are unable to see that zero is on the way. Zero and anyone who is not familiar with anything beyond zero cannot be ignored and therefore deserves recognition. Some opponents are preoccupied with the failures of zero’s ancestors. Instead of ending mutual hostilities with apologies and forgiveness for unjust past behavior, they have made their mind that zero would behave like his ancestors and therefore cannot be trusted. They cannot see that zero’s current representative had no role in past events, that the past cannot be changed, but that working with him might change the future. They cannot see that zero is at least better than -1.

Regardless of its opponents, zero is now a desirable goal for many. It is represented by a modern gentleman, Prince Zero, who has a contemporary style. Prince Zero’s ancestors, to their credit, made a significant contribution to modernity; however, they failed a few times to do it right. Price Zero is even more modern than his ancestors. In contrast to them, who led the masses undemocratically, he supports governance of the people, by the people, for the people.

He has announced multiple times that he is not power hungry. He seems to be honest. Unfortunately, some of his opponents doubt his honesty. He has been very courageous to disagree with some of his supporters, who see him as their god; he has made history by his humble attitude. However, his courage has been limited. No doubt he should openly admire his ancestors for their positive contributions. He also needs to sharply criticize them for neglecting the disadvantaged minorities.

Probably some zero supporters don’t know that love, marriage, and unity is voluntary and cannot be imposed anymore. Once Prince Zero declares that the rights of individuals and minorities are more important than the family, regional, and territorial integrity, no one will desire disunity. He could end inherited governance, unite people, and even dare to fight against neo-colonialism, a system that often promotes +1 for self and -1 for others.

Hopefully Prince Zero becomes more courageous and declares that individual and ethnic human rights are his priority and openly rejects any form of dominance. Hopefully he declares that all partners in a heterogenous and pluralistic society deserve equal rights. While a majority respects him already for his many great qualities, Prince Zero could become a contemporary Zorro once he declares unconditional equal human rights. In such a case we can happily wish each other Newroz Piroz (per a stubborn friend NeuRuj) on the annual spring equinox.
